TRACK TRIALS ON FERRARI 360

Friday was D-Day for the black Ferrari to get some track time. Well, firstly the gears needed some adjusting by one of the seasoned racers. Before this, a few laps and a ear splitting howl from the car told us something was wrong. After the gear fix, better and smoother run. The sidewinder motor NC-10 is very fast, too fast for the weight of the car, the little button magnet is not able to create enough down-force to keep the rear end from fish-tailing out of the corners and into the straight. (this is a wooden magnet track) Fastest time was +/-8 seconds. All the other cars with bar magnets and less powerful motors, (18,000 rpm)(26,000 rpm NINCO Ferrari) where posting 6 sec lap times. (And it's not the driver, this car was driven by one of the PRO's)
Conclusion: Fast car, weak magnet, light body. Not suitable for large scale wooden track. Perhaps perfect for NINCO track system that has high textured surface. Don't buy this car if you want to compete with the big boy's on PRO tracks, you will be defeated every time. Buy the car if it's for the collectors shelf, or NINCO tracks.
NINCO need to re-think the button magnet, perhaps this would help with down-force, and keep the rpm of the motor's below 20,000.
